Using a simple setup comprising the very compact PDR100 solid state digital recorder and one or more 520 line bullet cameras (HD cameras to be available later in 2008) a Chasecam system can provide you with the ability to:

  With multiple cameras you can, for example, have a view of the track, a view from your helmet and a view of your footwork
• » Capture broadcast quality video
  The standard bullet camera captures 520 lines equally SD broadcast quality. With HD cameras to be available soon capture quality will be even higher

The PDR records has no moving parts providing excellent resistance to vibration affects and ensuring very high levels of reliability even under the harshest operating conditions. Footage is written directly to industry standard compact flash cards which currently offer up to 16gb of storage.

Once at home the footage can be transferred to your PC or Mac for post processing or streamed directly to your television.

We went through a rigorous testing program before we chose the Chasecam product; reliability and ruggedness were central to our requirements where there is only once chance to capture the race or session. In over a year of using the Chasecam system we have not had a single failure...ever...

We offer the complete Chasecam product portfolio and in addition, as you would expect, we provide a full installation (including full hardwired integration into your car) and after sales service.

A wide range of mounts are available ranging from window suction mounts to helmet mounts. We are seeing increasing cases of TDOs and scrutineers not allowing suction type mounts so we recommend that you opt for the portable clamp mount. If you have a roll cage then a range of roll cage type mounts are also available.

If you already have a compatible bullet camera you can be up an running with the Chasecam recording system from £450. A typical starter kit comprising PDR100 recorder, a 520 line bullet camera, power cable and camera mount is around £600 exc. VAT.

We, ourselves, use 2 core packages on a regular basis; the Silverstone Package and the Spa Package. Both packages have been used extensively by us at Corporate Events, track days and races. The higher priced Spa package incorporates a picture in picture processor and an additional camera.
